1. Who we are
Creative Consult Ltd is the controller of personal information used by Pawprint. We are a company registered in England and Wales and can be contacted at support@creativeconsult.uk.
2. What we collect
Account information
When you create or use an account, we process your name, email address, authentication identifiers and, if supplied by Google, your profile picture. We also store your Pack membership and role.
Information you add
Pawprint stores pet profiles and care records you choose to enter, including names, breed, date of birth, meals, water, toilet trips, sleep, walks, training, play, medication, sickness and other observations or notes. This is information about animal care, but notes could contain personal information if you choose to include it.
Technical information
Our service providers may process IP address, browser or device information, authentication events and security logs needed to provide, protect and troubleshoot the service. Pawprint does not use advertising trackers or sell behavioural profiles.
3. Google sign-in data
If you choose Continue with Google, Google provides Pawprint with your basic profile information: name, email address, profile picture and an account identifier. Pawprint uses this only to create and secure your account, display your name to your Pack and help you sign in. We do not access your Google contacts, files, calendar or password.
4. How and why we use information
We use information to authenticate you; provide private Packs; synchronise pet records between authorised members; show timelines, summaries and insights; manage invitations and roles; support account deletion; prevent misuse; and maintain the service.
Our principal legal bases under UK data protection law are performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interests in operating and securing Pawprint. Where consent is the appropriate basis, you may withdraw it.
5. Who processes information
We share information only where needed to operate the service:
- Supabase provides authentication, database hosting, storage and realtime synchronisation.
- Google provides optional Google sign-in when you select it.
- Bluehost hosts Pawprint’s public web files.
- Authorities or professional advisers may receive information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.
Providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. We rely on their contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers. We do not sell personal information.
6. Security and Pack privacy
Pawprint uses account authentication and database access controls intended to keep each Pack’s pets and events visible only to its active members. Pack Leaders and Admins can invite or remove members. No online service can promise absolute security, so use a strong password and protect your device and account.
7. How long we keep information
We retain account and Pack information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to operate, secure or comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, your authentication identity, profile and memberships are deleted. Shared care entries are retained for the remaining Pack but are attributed to “Deleted user”. If you are the only member of a Pack, its pets and events are deleted with the Pack. Provider backups and security logs may remain for a limited period under provider retention schedules.
8. Your choices and rights
You may access and update your name in Pawprint, export Pack data if your role permits, leave or be removed from a Pack, and permanently delete your account from the profile menu. You can also read the account deletion instructions.
Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal information. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first and we will try to help.
9. Children
Pawprint is intended to be managed by adults. A young person should use Pawprint only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian and must meet the minimum age required by the sign-in provider in their country.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Pawprint changes. The current version and its update date will always be published on this page. We will provide additional notice if a change materially affects how we use information.
